National Zoo & Aquarium

Galahs are found across most of Australia, and are common across Canberra where they may be seen in small to very large flocks, often feeding on grass seeds.

Unlike most birds, galahs have benefited from land clearing as a result of European settlement because it has created more of the open habitat that suits their needs.

The National Zoo and Aquarium is home to two Galah; Larry and Floyd.
