National Zoo & Aquarium

The Barking owl is a medium sized owl, often found on the edges of woodland and farmland. This owl gets its name from its characteristic bark that sounds like that of a dog. Barking owls are monogamous and mate for life. During breeding season, the male will often provide food for their mate.

The National Zoo and Aquarium is home to siblings Ruby and Rocco.
